Triangirls Newsletter - ⚡️Remote Event 🎟 More Swag 🌈Jobs
We’re back in the swing of things and have got the next few months planned for our remote events. We’ve been tweaking the format of our events and we’re really thankful for all the feedback we received from the last two events. We’re always open to hearing more about how we can be better so please let us know via the feedback form.
✨ What happened in April
We’ve focussed on positivity! We know that all of 2020, and the start of 2021 has been difficult. So as a community, we’ve come together to share our experiences and reflect on how we can take ownership of self-doubts, show up, and invest in ourselves. We also listened to your feedback and left the room open for 30 min at the end to chat and debrief, which was wonderful! It's the closest we've felt to that real event, after-event buzz, so thank you!
As promised here are links to the slides:
Harpreet’s Presentation can be found here. Sophie’s Presentation can be found here. Rina’s Presentation can be found here.

📚 Our positivity journals
Last month we gave away some super fun and bespoke notebooks and you loved them, so we’re releasing some more! We have only 50 notebooks remaining and once they are gone they are gone. Please fill in the form if you’d like one and are based in the UK.
These bespoke positivity journals have been created with the wonderful Talk & Tell! So keep your eyes peeled once we’re ready to send out the notebooks.
🗓Upcoming Events
May: Top of their game
A lot of events are focused on getting women and non-binary people in the door for their first roles. This is essential, but progression and retention are rarely topics that get covered. We believe that career progression support is really important in retaining women and non-binary people in tech.
Join us for a panel discussion framed around the successes and accomplishments of the amazing people who’ll be joining us. Topics we’ll discuss include promotions, and sponsorship, pay, family, and taking leave. Our panellists come from a variety of backgrounds and have paved the way for their own successful careers, which we hope will inspire yours.
This event is open to everyone.

🔦 Spotlight Series
Introducing Alex Moore - Senior Frontend Developer at Kurt Geiger
“If I feel like a problem is too overwhelming for me to solve, it really helps to break it down into smaller, more manageable chunks that can be accomplished step-by-step, rather than trying to solve everything at once. I’d also say to try to believe in yourself.”
Read more about Alex and her story here.
Triangirls are looking to raise the profiles of women and non binary people in tech. Interested in participating in our spotlight series? Or you could recommend a great woman you work with. Email us at hello@triangirls.com
