Triangirls Newsletter - 💙Taking care of ourselves 🖥Digital Communities - Issue #20
The clocks have sprung forward and the sun is mostly shining. That's right —we're now fully into Spring! Though we know this Spring is likely to be different to any other we've encountered, it's still important to enjoy these warmer days.
During March we had to unfortunately postpone all of our events, we're not sure when we will be returning to running live events but we hope it will be soon. In the meantime we've been looking at how we can run events online but most importantly we want you all to feel involved as still part of our community.
👩⚕️ MealsForTheNHS
You might have seen on social media that we've produced a limited number of pins beautifully designed by Rachael Grocott. We're selling the pins to raise money for @MealsForTheNHS. This is a wonderful initiative that is helping feed and fuel our London NHS workers. You can contact us via email with your details or head over to https://paypal.me/triangirlsocial to donate money to the cause. Make sure you add your address so we can send you a pin! Since we launched this initiative at the weekend we've already raised £170 - ALL of the money you send to use will go to the charity. You can also donate money directly to the cause via: https://www.mealsforthenhs.com/
💙 Look after yourself
What the world is going through at the moment feels inescapable and all-consuming: wherever you turn is the threat of Covid-19. Most of us are isolated at home, which can be very stressful. Anna has put together some tips and services that have helped her stay grounded through anxious times.

👩🏽💻 Career coaching
After our event in January (How to Smash 2020) Rachael has been super focussed on her career goals which has led her to asking Camila Diaz (a Triangirls favourite) to be her official mentor. They're planning to make it somewhat of a career playbook for women. Topics covered will be how to lead from a position of non-leadership, how to influence when your manager isn't a designer, how to deal with conflict and tips to progress in your career.
You can follow along with their journey here:

🗓 Remote Events
🎤In conversation with leaders in design — who happen to be women
Hosted by Figma via Zoom
As we're still in the process of figuring out which technology to use to host online events, we've taken the time to enjoy other communities online events. So we'd love to share that on Tuesday, Figma are hosting an awesome webinar at 4:00 PM — We're sure it's one not to be missed. Register your place today here.
About the event:

We have a ticket to this event tomorrow night. We've been following F*ck Being Humble for a while now and are keen to partner with her soon!
About the event:
Let's talk about money. The one thing that us Brits never want to talk openly about and consequently end up spending the majority of our careers being underpaid and undervalued. We've all been there right?! Navigating your way through the mind-field of day rates, negotiating higher salaries and proving your self-worth is never easy at any age, particularly when no one ever teaches you how! So it's time we took a bit of Rhianna attitude and claimed our worth.
