Triangirls Newsletter - We're back! 💪 New Triangirls Member 📣 New jobs ✨ Triangirls Event Survey 👍
Happy New Year! We know we’re super late with that greeting but this is our first newsletter of 2021. We hope you all had a wonderful festive break even though it was much different from usual. While we’re getting back into the groove of being present in the community, why not check out what we got up too late last year 👇
🎄What we got up to in December
We took a month to recharge our batteries. Things have changed quite a lot for us in the last few months, Liz bought a house and is on an exciting DIY journey. Not content with a full-time job, Triangirls as side projects and a DIY project, she’s also started her own business. Anna has moved out of London to Surrey and Rachael has just started a new job as Senior Product Designer for Trint. With that in mind...
📣 Welcome Laxmi! 💖
Hi everyone, I’m joining Traingirls as a co-organiser. I’ve been working in digital for over 12 years and currently work in digital delivery. That’s right, I’m not a designer!!!! I first came across Triangirls through word of mouth and ended up attending their events. I appreciated the safe space that was created for womxn in tech and then built up my confidence to run an event for the Triangirls community. Since then, I’ve kept in touch and have appreciated the effort the Triangirls team put into when running events. If you’d like to chat more, feel free to reach out on LinkedIn.
🗓 Events
🎤What do you want?
Last year Triangirls had navigated running events online for the first time, we learnt a lot along the way and really want to make sure we serve the community the best we can. That’s why we want to hear from you. We’ve put together a super quick survey to find out what you would like from us in 2021 as well as the best way for us to get that content to you.

📣 Call for speakers
Last year we had a huge range of new speakers which included a doctor, an accountant, a life coach and career coach. Not only do we want to focus on bringing you a diverse range of topics but at Triangirls we’re committed to diversifying who we have spoke. We know that people who approach us to speak tend to be white women and to combat this we have been proactively reaching out to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups. There is still a lot of work that Triangirls needs to do to consistently bring our audience a range of speakers and we hope you’ll help us get there. So if you have something you want to speak about why not get in touch, or if you have heard someone speak who you think might be a great fit for the Triangirls community then get in touch.
You can simply send us an email: Hello@triangirls.com or drop us a DM on Twitter.
